What's next ...

Stern needs to be ballasted down an extra 10-15mm. Will do some trimming again in the bath tub. Probably going to add 600-700g of lead.

ESC is too rough. It's an old Graupner 50A brushed ESC probably designed for speed boats. I have a few old car brushed ESCs laying around. Will give them a try or I'll have to source a new one.

Water pump didn't work. It was running (you could hear it!) but no water spray. Will have to investigate and run a few more tests in the test tank.

While the wheelhouse is now good, it is still empty: no wheel, desk/cabinets, no floor !

The cart

The custom cart was made from PVC pipes and fittings, threaded rods, copper pipes (acting as bearings for the threaded rods), 100mm and 200mm scooter wheels.

The boat stand itself was CNC cut from plywood and is removable. Cart could be used to carry different boat with the matching stand.

Here are a few sketches from the cart.

Cart was designed somewhat like a stretcher with upper wheels that roll on the fender and then in the trunk of the car while the legs are foldable.

I can load/unload the cart and boat on my own without any assistance.

Not the most stable system but good enough for boats in the 20-30kg range.
